Hoping for some Rocketman NHL to make up for last night's "over" debacle.

200* San Antonio Spurs
All San Antonio minus the small home chalk tonight. After all given the awful start for Dallas losing 2 of their first three games and now playing their fourth game in six days I don’t like the Mavericks chances tonight. Not when Dallas is being asked to travel to San Antonio to face a Spurs team hungry for their first win of the season. Also helping things out is the fact that the Spurs did win 3 of the 4 series meetings straight up last season. So thanks to being at home minus a small chalk I look for the Spurs to notch their first win of the season against a tired Dallas team. All San Antonio minus the points.
100* Miami-Ohio
Nothing big tonight on the gridiron, but thanks to Miami owning this series I looking for a closer then expected game tonight in the MAC. I mean even though Miami has sucked this year the one stat I can’t look past is the fact that the RedHawk are an all-time 10-0 SU against Buffalo, including a dominating 9-0 SU since the Bulls have joined the MAC in 1999. So while I look for Buffalo to get their first win ever against Miami I don’t expect it to be more then a touchdown. Take Miami plus the road points.

Miami Ohio +9 over Buffalo
Buffalo has won some big games this year, but Miami has won the last ten meetings between these schools and until the lose to Buffalo we have to take them as 9 point dogs. Both teams have struggling defenses which should make this a see-saw game. Look for this to go to the wire. Anything can happen in the MAC. Take Miami-Ohio.

Miami-Ohio applies to a very good 22-1 ATS subset of a 63-18-1 ATS situation tonight, but switching quarterbacks has hurt the Redhawks, as freshman Clay Belton has not been nearly as effective as Daniel Raudabaugh. Belton has averaged only 4.0 yards per pass play against teams that would allow 6.4 yppp to an average quarterback while Raudabaugh is only 0.7 yppp worse than average. The Redhawks have received a lift offensively with freshman running back J.R. Taylor, who has run for 240 yards on just 38 carries the last two weeks in place of injured Thomas Merriweather, who was averaging just 4.0 ypr when he sprained his ankle. Merriweather is scheduled to play tonight, which actually hurts Miami’s cause since it takes carries away from Taylor. After making all the adjustments my math favors Buffalo by 13 points in this game. However, the situation favoring Miami-Ohio is much more significant than the line value favoring Buffalo (the math would give Buffalo a 54.7% chance of covering at -8 ½ while the situation has a 60% chance of covering at a fair line). I’ll lean with Miami-Ohio plus the points based on the strong situation.
