New England-10.5
You probably saw this one on my Chalenge Contest.
I talked about teams losing offensive coordinators, this has not happened a week before the season begins and is new territory to oddsmakers and handicappers. Oddsmakers were determined not to over react. Well I did over react, but it is paying off. It is hard to learn an old or new offense in a week after you have been doing something else. There are new blocking schemes, quarterback and receiver timing. This doesn't happen in a week. My lines were Baltimore by 14, Dallas by 9, and New England by 15. I was a little leary in capping offensive coordinators, as it is entirely new in this circumstance. What I thought about was the affect it had on Kansas City when they had the No.1 offense in the league, and then Herm Edwards took over and they lost their offensive coordinator. They wound up 16th in his first year and fell to 32nd in the second year. This was with Tony Gonzales! I hope you guys pounded Dallas and Baltimore, and get ready for New England. [email protected]
