The Rams are supposed to play bad in the regular season, not the preseason! Any way Baltimore and the Jets managed over 800 yards of offense in the first week. This is the lowest total on the board, with the highest number of yards gained last week. Baltimore was 2 for 6 in the red zone, the Jets were 1 for 3.
They both had over 100 yards in returns. The Jets were 6 of 13 on third downs, and the Ravens were 7 0f 18. Another key that could create a short field is turnovers. The Jets had 2. Baltimore held on to the ball for 35:44 against Washington. Everything I looked at favors the Ravens, but as wacky as the preseaon is, I'm taking my chances on the over and hoping the Monday Night Lights turns on a few rookies to over acheive and get in to the endzone. Good luck tonight, Mike
I took Baltimore Ravens 1st Quarter -½ +105 ;D
Blade, that was a good play, Baltimore's first team defense is worth more than that, specially against a rookie quarterback....The oddsmakers seem to forget the defense can score, and place everything on the offenses. This by far was the easiest bet I have won in preseason. It kind of makes up for that crazy Giants/Panthers ending.
I just wanted to mention that there was 284 yards of offense in the first quarter, and that wasn't including the defensive TD.

Thanks
I figured the Ravens would be fired up going against their former coordinator and read the starters were going to play into the second quarter. Throw in a rookie making his first start and it looked like a great bet to me.
47 points! I am just glad I didn't bet the side, it would have been another bad beat. New head coaches are unpredictable in their first year. Give them 4 games in the preseason, and they will try anything to win, like going for 2 when they could have tied it up and layed an extra 15 minutes. No one wants to do that, so that is something to keep in mind when inexperience meets experienced.
