Can you tell me if poppopt is working for THE SPREAD or is he just one of us? Are all of his threads sanctioned by
THE SPREAD or is he doing this on his own?

Welcome to the site.

I do not know about the other people on this forum but I am getting sick and tired of coming onto this forum and seeing his rantings and ravings day after day. I can not help but see them since they are always in that box about the most popular discussions of the day. You can not help but see the subject titles. I am getting
sick and tired of it.

If I would come onto this forum and post thread after thread about the people who are going to hell on this forum and how to get to heaven, how long do you think I would last without someone complaining?

Poppopt stop your political rantings and ravings and I will not do what I suggested above. Let us keep the inflammatory topics of politics and religion off of this forum and stick with helping each other win games. That is what this forum is all about anyway.

Thanks

Actually, poppopt is a decent guy...just misguided politically. Don't pay any attention to that stuff. But he does make some really good picks and that's what's important.

Thanks for your feedback Prince, it's appreciated. I always like to hear opinions especially from someone who never posted before but registered just to share their thoughts about something.

My stance on Poppopt is this...

At the end of the day it's all about having discussions that get people involved. As long as people are being moderately respectful of each other I am always going to let people express themselves freely.

I'll be honest, half the stuff in here I don't pay any mind to because it's just not interesting to me. I don't really care about politics or religion or George Bush and that is why I spend most of my time in the other forums.

That is the main reason we compartmentalize everything the way we do by topic so if there is certain stuff people aren't interested in they don't need to view it. I understand your concern about the abundance of topics from this particular forum that find their way into the "Most Popular Topics" and I will certainly see what I can do to limit those.

But it's a double edged sword for sure. From my seat I can look at it both ways. On the one hand you are posting because you are unhappy about what is being posted in this forum but on the other hand, if you weren't unhappy about what was being posted here what are the chances you would of remained just a lurker and wouldn't of posted your thoughts on the forum? While you being unhappy is bad, gaining a new member who shares their thoughts is good.

So to summarize, I appreciate your feedback and I hope you can understand why I don't actively censor posts. I assume that everyone here is of legal age and that if there is something you don't care for you just won't view it.

I really only want to get involved if things turn ugly and at that point rest assured I will do whatever is necessary.

I agree with Prince....POP is not good for a sports forum, no matter how good his picks are. This is the type of people that can ruin it for the owners of the forum. It sends people elsewhere. Just my opinion

You will care about his picks when you see one. Thanks to his NFL under game this year I cranked in some extra coin. The guy makes some pretty solid picks & his post are under Non-Sports Forums so its not like he is posting this stuff under the sports section. You will get use to him and learn to ignore him if you don't like his rants so I hope you guys stick around. This is a great site & it has helped me so much this season. Im actually going to finish the football season in the positive for the first time in a while.

I like Pop being here. Gets my blood boiling sometimes but that's just because we are opposite sides of the coin politically. But it's fun. If you don't like him, don't read him. Simple as that.
