in the "why angry isnt a strong enough word" post the writer says that the Republicans are punishing the american people for voting them out.
A friend of mine, a republican, constantly points out that "democrats have controlled the house for two years now"
and of course Sen Kerry is correct, they are going to vote no anyway.
So even though the republicans are offering little except "more tax cuts" (pointed out that for unemployed me, a tax cut does nothing, if anything happens worse - worse economy, terrorist attack, pandemic, hurricane - they can all scream "WE TOLD YOU THEY WOULD RUIN EVERYTHING"
Republicans really, truly have nothing to offer, but they sure as hell want the power.
