I'm entered in a season long NFL Best Bet contest at a Tavern in Rochester,NY that ends Sun. I am currently leading the contest and with a winner Sat or Sun I could bring home the first place $ which is considerable (4 digits). I am currently having a tough time picking winners(about 5o% the last 2 weeks) and get confused each time i look at this weeks NFL card. The contest rules are 1 side or total each week ATS with the lines as they appear in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. If anyone would like to help a fellow forum member bring home some cash please post your strongest NFL side or total for this weekends games. Thanks a lot I appreciate the help.
This is interesting. I am also in a pool that has a first place prize of a very large amount of cash. I am in first place but about 4 others are on my tail and can beat me out. I have to pick 3 games. If I go 3-0, no chance of losing. Anything less and I can be caught.
I think we are thinking too much. The card looks tougher when there is a big prize to be had. I was thinking the Eagles and Oakland today but may just wait until tomorrow.

So, I will just do this. My favorite game tomorrow is probably Minny over the Lions. Lions kinda have to lose to secure themselves the best possible draft. Injuries, yada yada yada and so forth makes Minny look nice to me. However, at Hilton time I picked Atlanta. I think they have a lot of momentum going into this week and towards the end of the season health and momentum are the most important 2 things to have IMO. So, take it for what it's worth. If I was to tell you, I would say take Minny. But because I don't want to be the one to lose it for you I'm not sayin nuttin

I would play the Carolina Panthers +7.
Reason: Saints were eliminated from playoff hopes w/ Giants win, and I look for them to be dead. Remember how this team "quit" last year once they were out of the hunt? Look for the same, Panthers win outright!

Thanks OT. What I'm really looking for is a consensus anyway. Consensus plays of the guys who post here ought to really mean something unlike other consensus reports from the pay services, although they are good to play against i probably should check them out today when my man Tbone posts them.
The lines I am working with in my pool are Washington -6.5 and Denver -11. These MAY be two of my picks. I like Cleveland but the line I have is 2.5 in the pool. I got 3 online. So, I will look at something else, possibly Buffalo.
I want to thank you all for your input. You can see from the wagers in my post that i considered all opinions carefully. I ended up with Buff -7 in my contest. I posted earlier in the week that I liked this games and I stayed with my original gameplan. Thanks again for the responses.
