This will be my 2nd biggest play of the tourney, second only to 10* Marquette over Pitt (Thursday).
The loss of Wayne Simeon was a major blow to this KU team. His absence was felt in the first meeting where Zona rallied from 20 down to win by 17.
Again, I have been waiting for this matchup, and hoping for a soft number. I have always faded Roy Williams team's once they reach the elite 8, and this year is no different. Roy Williams and the Jayhawks got a big win over Coach K and Duke to avenge their previous futility in that series. Kansas was extremely pumped for the Duke game, and their determination and will got the job done.
Today will be a different story. I have believed all year that Arizona would win the title. Their lack of interest in the Pac 10 tourney gave them the rest needed, and gave Lute Olsen the full attention of his players. The scare against Gonzaga made me think of 2 things:
1) Most teams that win the title have to get through a game like that.
2) The odds will be softer making them a better value for the next 2 games.
