They are having some kind of DOS issues. It's not affecting everyone but I have read a couple people are experiencing outages periodically. I can get in just fine but had trouble earlier.

If you are unable to access the site you can always call. Here is their # 1-888-263-0000

BoDog is just the latest to get hit with this DOS attack. So far; Gamblers Ave, Hollywood, PanAm, Pinnacle, Royal, Sirbet, VIP, Gameday and Skybook have all been hit. And these are just the ones I know about.

Some have paid, most have not and BoDog is among the ones standing their ground. Because of their technology they haven't been hit as hard as the others I mentioned. BoDog has just been hit with sporadic outages while some of the other attacks have taken books down completely for days at a time.

We have 8 top notch sponsor here and this is just one reason that I suggest to all of you to have multiple accounts. Not only will you make some nice bonus money by just splitting up your funds but you cover your bases in case technology hiccups as it has a tendency to do.

I currently play at 3 different places but have or have had accounts at almost ever reputable book out there. Not saying that 7-8 outs are good for everyone but you should always at least leave yourself one backup with a few bucks in it for a rainy day.

Letter from Bodog I just got....

We sincerely apologize for an incredibly rough weekend at BoDog. Our website was completely overwhelmed by a very serious Denial of Service attack that crippled access to BoDog. We pride ourselves on being leaders in technological excellence, but even our hardworking support and tech team members had trouble fighting off this past weekend's attack.

A "denial-of-service" attack is characterized by an explicit attempt by attackers to prevent legitimate users of a service from using that service. We are doing everything possible to prevent these attacks from occurring in the future. We are confident that as we go forward BoDog will have the best available technology and support systems in the business.

Rest assured that our website and server are completely secure, these attacks have never compromised the BoDog system and all your personal information is completely safe.

We want to thank you for your business and hope that we can continue to demonstrate why you have placed your trust in BoDog.

Rob Gillespie,
President, BoDog.com
