2002 Buzz Word Sports records

SEASON NFL: 123-88, +72.75 UNITS!!
SEASON NBA: 115-88, +54.8 UNITS!!
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: 121-99, +19.65 UNITS!!
SEASON MLB: 672-582, +151.85 UNITS!!

YESTERDAY'S RECAP:

A 6-3, +14.4 Unit night in the NBA more than made up for a disappointing day in college football, where our top play on Colorado cashed, but our plays on Texas A&M and Arkansas came up losers... all in all, we went 1-3, and lost -3.7 Units in College Football yesterday... but with our double-digit NBA performance (winning top plays on Indiana, Phoenix, Miami, Memphis, Milwaukee, and Houston), our overall profit was still a very successful +10.7 Units...

Many terrific plays today, starting with college football, and continuing into tonight's NBA card, with tomorrow's NFL picks also on the way... here's a free preview for you!

11/30 FREE COLLEGE FOOTBALL:

Wake Forest @ Maryland 12:00 PM EST

Wake Forest +13.5 over Maryland (3 Units)

After blowing their chance for the ACC title and a BCS Championship Bowl game appearance last week against the Virginia Cavaliers, a weary Maryland squad attempts to salvage a Peach Bowl bid with a win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, who are looking to do a little Bowling themselves... and if motivation is any factor, we're betting that the Deacs will have more fire in attempting to get to any bowl game than a Maryland team that is going to be disappointed with their bowl bid after losing out on both the BCS and a slot in the Gator Bowl (which selected NC
State)... win or lose in this contest, Maryland will be playing in a bowl game, but they will not be playing on New Year's Day or later even if they crush the Demon Deacons...

While Maryland's situation seems pretty simple, Wake Forest will have plenty of motivation in this contest, as they know a win will likely get them a Bowl bid, while a loss will doom them to their second straight year of being on the sidelines despite six wins... Wake certainly has
more than enough ability to stay in this contest, as their offense has now scored 21+ points in eight consecutive games behind a rushing game that is more than impressive, compiling over 240 yards per game... this offensive excellence has actually been pretty consistent since towards
the end of last season, as WFU is averaging 29.3 points per game in their last 17 games... now Wake takes to the road as a dog, a situation in which they have thrived as of late...

Four of the last five road games involving Wake have been decided by one possession, including SU underdog wins by the Deacs over Purdue and Georgia Tech... since losing heftily at N.C. State early in the year (during State's incredible undefeated run), the Deacs have lost just three
times - by four points to Virginia, by 8 to Clemson (Wake would have had a chance to tie if not for fumbling at the Clemson 1 yard line with less than a minute left), and by a deceptive 13 points to Florida State, as Wake led throughout the majority of the game, and FSU scored a late
cheap touchdown for the final margin... even despite their bad luck against Clemson and FSU, Wake Forest has been money in the bank as an underdog, covering at a 11-4-3 rate, including a 6-1-2 mark in their last nine games as a road dog...

Three of the last four games between these teams have been decided by 10 points or less, with the road team winning both SU and ATS in those contests... with more positive emotion on the side of the Deacs, we expect to see the Terrapins come out lethargic and allow WFU to take the early lead... and if the Deacs are successful in staying in this contest early, we foresee a very easy cover of this spread, and very possibly a straight up win over a Maryland team that may be spending a little too much time feeling sorry for themselves...

FINAL PREDICTION: WAKE FOREST 24, MARYLAND 23
