We lost our complimentary play yesterday by 1/2 point, when the Seattle/Indy game ended 28-10. Hopefully some of you were able to snag a "38" out there and get a push. The loss drops the complimentary selections to 7-4 over the past 11 days. We're back at it today with a WNBA winner.

8/11 Play: DETROIT SHOCK +8, -110

Reason: This game opened at Orlando -7.5 (currently at 8). Our capping of this game SOLELY on numbers, showed Orlando should be a 3 point favorite. We then added 1 point for Orlando's home court advantage and another point since this is a must win game for Orlando, as they are fighting Miami and Indiana for the final playoff spot. In our opinion the reason this game opened at 7.5, is because Det coach Bill Laimbeer sat his starters for the final 10 minutes of their 56-55 victory over Indiana on Friday night. Laimbeer said he wanted to see what the backups could do at the end of a game, since he already knew what the starters could do. Will he do the same thing tonight? We doubt it. The Indiana game was at home in Detroit, this one is on the road. If Detroit gets a win tonight, they will have a legit shot at finishing at .500 under Laimbeer. Also, consider this: ALL the pressure is on Orlando tonight. Detroit can play care-free ball, while Orlando will be playing under some intense pressure. We like Detroit to cover this 8 point spread.
