8/29 Play: FALCONS to +175

Reason: Conventional wisdom tells us that in the last preseason game of the year, a team is more adept to play their backups and rest their starters. However, in Atlanta things are a bit different. Michael Vick was forced to leave last weeks Dallas game early due to an injury to his non-throwing elbow. For that reason, Reeves will allow Vick and the first unit to play the entire first half, and possibly into the 2nd half. According to Reeves, the first unit is going to have to play more than he would like them to simply because the backups are so banged up.

The Bengals finally settled their QB competition last week by naming Gus Frerrote as their starter. The Bengals have performed well throughout the preseason as the starting O-line has yet to allow a sack, and has created huge holes for the running backs. However, the starting unit has also been out-scored 48-26 in that span. To hear RT Willie Anderson tell it, he as well as the rest of the first unit, will be looking to get off the field as soon as possible. We think Atlanta has a chance to win this thing outright. This is the preseason, and anything can happen, but when we see we can get +175 on Atlanta, well that's just too good to pass up.

We are also offering selections on the following games:
Jax/Dal
Buf/Det
La/Ny (WNBA)

We offer extensive analysis on each and every play we make.
