Our complimentary selection lost yesterday, when Pittsburgh stalled out or turned the ball over in the redzone. That pushes our complimentary record to 6-3 over the last 9 days. Here is our play for today:

8/9 Play: FALCONS -3.5, -110

Reason: Why Atlanta? There are several reasons. First, Atlanta’s first and second string offensive and defensive line will be playing for most if not all of the game. This heavily favors Atlanta especially in the second half of the game. Second, Jacksonville is committed to only playing their starters between 15 and 20 plays. Tom Coughlin was quoted as saying “"I always want to win, but I'll win [while looking] at a lot of people, we're not going to do it any other way.'' We believe that while Jacksonville’s starters might be slightly better that Atlanta’s their backups are not. Atlanta’s quarterbacks have performed very well in camp this year. We expect to see Michael Vick play most of the first half and the second half split between Doug Johnson and Dusty Bonner. Thirdly, where we feel Atlanta has the most advantage is at the running back position. The rotation looks to be Warrick Dunn in the 1st quarter, Maurice Smith in the 2nd quarter, and T.J. Duckett in the 3rd quarter. Lastly, Atlanta is playing at home were they are expecting a large crowd for the new owners first game. With all of theses factors combined we feel that 3.5 points will not save Jacksonville tonight.

I've read on several other sites that Warrick Dunn is out with a hamstring and TJ Duckett is suspended for an off the fiels altercation.
