Ok, I want to get a contest going and I have been looking all over for a sponsor but with the state of things off-shore right now the takers are few and far between. So...

MM is coming up and I don't want to let this pass us by without some type of contest. I know a couple of you have expressed intersted in helping which is great so in order for me to take you up on that offer let me run a few things past you...

MM contest. Pick your favs for every round ATS or we do an office pool bracket system type deal? Or does someone else have another idea?

Next, you wanna play for money or bragging rights? Without a sponsor we can have an entry fee and top three get payouts. Let me know. If you want we can all work on an entry fee that everyone likes and you all can paypal me the money and we can go something like 50% of the total for 1st, 25% for 2nd and 15 for third. Then I will take care of paying out the winners.

Let me know by friday of this week with your thought and suggestions and I will get with those interested in helping and put something together by this weekend.

Also, if any of you don't want your comments to appear on the board for whatever reason you can email me at [email protected]

I know some of you are kinda shy!

Here's a possible idea for a different contest than the conventional brackets. Everyone will have 3-4 days to look over all the spreads. If we used tonight for example and there were 10 games, everyone would rank all 10 games from their favorite to least favorite and pick a winner ATS for each. If you hit your top pick, you go to your next game, and so on. Whoever makes it the furthest, wins! Let me know how this sounds.

I'd be interested in playing for $, as long as it wasn't too expensive...we are college students here.

I'm not going to be in it, so you guys can decide on an entry fee. Whatever everyone agree's on is fine with me. Get some thoughts from everyone and lets try to keep it reasonable so that everyone can get in on it. Next time we can have a high roller contest or something. For the first one I would like to get as many people as possible. More fun that way.

i know its to late to run this type of pool but has anyone ever beeen in aqn auction type pool? all teams auctioned off and a percentage given for each round advanced, largest victory margin in each round, largest loss margin in each round, etc. etc.

That is a sweet idea, but probably way to late to get into all that now. Maybe next year. We need to get into something more conventional I think.

Thoughts???
