DO NFL MONDAY NIGHT DOGS REALLY BARK..........

For many years the NFL has treated the football enthusiast with weekends of action that concluded with it's Monday Night telecast. The advent of this game gave all of us one last chance to lay the wood to the books for the weekend. Obviously this one single game should not be a "bail out" game from previous loses but it can be a profitable endeavor if you take the time to properly analyize the matchup.

With the long history of Monday Night comes "toutes" out of the woodwork that claim to have the one angle that can't help but win. One angle that I have heard plenty about is that "take the Monday Night Dog, especially if at home, because it always wins!" What everyone needs to understand however is that because it's one game the odds makers have more time to study the matchup and devise a line to minimize the advantage to the bettor. None the less, if you do buy into the Monday Night Dog angle there are some scenerios and teams that have produced some profitable returns againts the number. I have honed in on some of these teams and their recent trends and identified these profit makers below (ATS mark is in parenthesis)

Monday Night Home Dog: Dallas (5-1); Miami (8-3); New Orleans (5-3); NY Jets (6-3); San Diego (4-1); Seattle (6-1); Tampa Bay (6-0).

Monday Night Road Dog: Dallas (12-6); Green Bay 8-7); Minnesota (10-5); New England (7-3); NY Jets (8-2); Philadelphia (9-5); St. Louis (704); San Francisco (5-2).

As you can see by the numbers there are some profitable teams in Dog rolls. Pay particular attention to Dallas (17-6) and the NY Jets (14-5) who seem to love barking the loudest no matter where they play.
