Ok guys $ gals here it is i'm going with TB to win the SUPERBOWL. I will take Both the ML and +4 for the game.

My Reasons::

I think that the TB Defense will hold the power of the Raiders pass attack.Remember what the Ravens defense did to the raiders a few years ago.I know that was a while ago but DEFENSE wins championships.FACT. Anouther BIG factor is that Oakland does not know to much or anything at all about TB,as for TB Chucky knows that team well.BIG advantage here,because there was not enough time for the Raiders to figure out TBs defense.maybe if there were a 2 week break it would be different but the fact is only 1 week to prepare and less then that due to superbowl week and the media coverage.If TB gets pressure on Gannon with its Front 4 Oakland is in for a long day.Now add the timely BLITZING and i see a few turnovers as well.

SOME TRENDS

TAMPA BAY is 12-4 ATS (+7.6 Units) versus excellent offensive teams - averaging >=6 yards/play since 1992.

TAMPA BAY is 8-1 ATS (+6.9 Units) vs. excellent teams - outscoring opponents by 10+ PPG on the season since 1992.

TAMPA BAY is 10-3 ATS (+6.7 Units) vs. good offensive teams - scoring 24 or more points/game over the last 3 seasons.

TAMPA BAY is 6-1 ATS (+4.9 Units) vs. good passing teams averaging 7 or more passing yards/att. over the last 3 seasons.

TAMPA BAY is 5-1 ATS (+3.9 Units) vs. good passing teams with a completion pct. of 61% or better. this season.

I also have a even better play for the SUPERBOWL that is a TOTAL and it is a DUMP.A sweet way to end the NFL season.Please E-MAIL for more details,and lets "SPEND IT" together

YIKES...looks like I'm in the minority.

I think this is a tough game to handicap. The trends that you listed certainly point to Tampa here, but there are many that would give validation for choosing the Raiders. One example... the Raiders are 19-5 ATS against winning teams of late, winning these games by an average of 10 points.

I also believe that this team has something to prove. They felt they were "robbed" of a championship when the ref decided that Brady was attempting a pass and did not fumble last year. In addition, guys like Gannon, Rice, Brown and Woodson are veterans who may not have an opportunity like this again. Experience does count and I feel it will make a difference on Sunday.

Finally, since the 16th of December the Raiders have not had to leave the state of California...5 weeks without much travel. The games they have played have been fairly easy victories and I look for them to be fresh.

I know defense normally wins games, but this Sunday I have a feeling this may not happen. Tampa did give up 23 points to New Orleans and 20 points to the Lions in the month of December. I have to believe that if these non-playoff teams can put those point totals on the board, a super bowl team who averages 29 points per game can exceed these totals.

I'm not in love with this game, but I will play the Raiders.

Best of luck!
