MIKE ROSE - 9/29 CFB ESPN TOP SIDE POSITION OF THE NIGHT (PITT/RUTGERS!!!)
Cost $35 Mike Rose

We nailed another one last night as CSU avenged last year's crushing defeat at the hands of the "Flyboys" and took them out behind the woodshed. We've nailed the first 4 weeknight games with TENN, FRESNO, MIAMI, & CSU, & will make it 5 in a row tonight with the SIDE winner in the Big East clash. We're now 6-1 ATS our L/7 overall CFB positions, & look to gain more momentum heading into Sat's ENORMOUS card. This selection comes fully analyzed, so get in here and grab the play to SYM!

PITTSBURGH +1

BEN BURNS' BIG EAST TOTAL OF THE MONTH *7-1 L8!

Game: Pittsburgh Panthers at Rutgers Sep 30 2005 8:00PM
Prediction: over
Reason: Although the Pittsburgh/Rutgers total is relatively low, I'm expecting to see a lot of points. Last season's game at Pittsburgh produced 58 points while the game at Rutgers in 2003 saw 74 combined points scored. This year, both teams brought back a ton of returning starters on the offensive side of the ball. Palko and the Pittsburgh offense got a much-needed confidence builder vs. 1-AA Youngstown St. last week and racked up 500+ yards and 41 points. I expect them to build momentum from that game and for the Panthers to move the ball effectively vs. the suspect Scarlet Knights' defense which has given up more than 400 yards per game. Rutgers struggled somewhat at Buffalo but managed 38 points in its only home game this season. Looking back to last year and we see that Rutgers has scored at least 30 points in each of its last three home games. Look for the final combined score to finish above the low number as the Over improves to 10-5 the L15 times that the Panthers played a game with a line in the +3 to -3 range. BEN BURNS' 3-GAME ULTIMATE REPORT *INCLUDES GOW!

Game: Houston Texans at Cincinnati Bengals Oct 2 2005 1:00PM
Prediction: Houston Texans
Reason: After back to back disappointing losses the Texans had an extra week off to prepare for this week's game at Cincinnati. Houston is an excellent 9-1 ATS the last 10 times it was coming off back to back losses and 13-2-1 ATS in that situation since becoming a franchise. The Bengals, on the other hand, are just 1-5 ATS the last six times they were favored by greater than 8 points, losing three of those games outright. The only time the Bengals were favored by this much in recent years was against Cleveland in December of 2003. The Bengals (-9) would lose that game 22-14. Look for the Texans to give the home favorites everything they can handle once again this afternoon. Play on HOUSTON

Game: Seattle Seahawks at Washington Redskins Oct 2 2005 1:00PM
Prediction: Washington Redskins
Reason: The Redskins had a bye following their miraculous comeback vs. Dallas. They are 6-0 ATS when playing with rest after posting back to back wins. The Seahawks lost their only road game, at Jacksonville, in Week 1. They have responded with consecutive home victories, including a big win vs. Arizona last week. That's not necessarily a postive though as we find the Seahawks at 2-8 ATS the last 10 ten times they were coming off back to back home games, 3-10 ATS when coming off a division game and just 2-11 ATS in October when coming off back to back wins. While the Seahawks are 0-4 ATS their last four vs. the NFC East, the Redskins are 8-1 ATS their last nine vs. the NFC West. Early starting time doesn't help the west-coast based Seahawks nor does a big divisional battle at St. Louis looming on deck. Look for Holmgren to fall to 0-4 vs. the Redskins and the Seahawks to fall to 0-9 ATS their last nine games in October. Play on WASHINGTON *NFL Game of the Week

Game: Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs Oct 2 2005 4:15PM
Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs
Reason: The Chiefs come off a blowout loss while the Eagles come off a close victory vs. the Raiders. In my opinion, that works to the KC's advantage. While the Chiefs will be highly motivated to attone for their embarrassing loss on National TV, the Eagles are just 1-9 the last 10 times they were coming off a SU win but an ATS loss. While the Eagles are just 1-5 ATS their last six games vs. the AFC, the Chiefs are 10-2-1 ATS their last 13 October games. Additionally the Chiefs are 5-2-1 ATS at home when coming off back to back road games and 4-1 ATS the last five times they played before a bye week. KC won its only home game in convincing fashion while Philadelphia lost its only road game. Facing an improved Chiefs' defense, I don't feel that a banged-up McNabb and the Eagles' offense can match points with a high-powered Chiefs offense which has averaged greater than 36 points per game their last seven home games. Play on KC

BEN BURNS' 3-GAME NFL TOTALS' REPORT (ALL EARLY!)

Game: San Diego Chargers at New England Patriots Oct 2 2005 1:00PM
Prediction: under
Reason: Although their Week 1 contest here vs. the Raiders slipped Over the number, the Patriots have still seen the Under go 12-6-1 their last 19 home games. The Chargers saw their only road game this season fall well below the total and have seen the Under go 6-2 their last eight road games overall. The most recent meeting in this series came in 2002. The over/under line was 40.5 and the game finished with only 35 combined points. The Under is 7-3 the last 10 times that the Patriots were listed as a home favorite of 3.5 to 7 points and 7-3 the last 10 times that the Patriots played a home game with an over/under line in the 45.5 to 49 point range. The Under is also 4-0 the last four times the Chargers played a road game with a total falling in that range. Play on the UNDER

Game: Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans Oct 2 2005 1:00PM
Prediction: over
Reason: The Colts high-powered offense has been severely limited during the first three games. I expect a breakout game this afternoon. Indianapolis has averaged 36 points per game its last four meetings with the Titans, including 51 most recently. Those four games saw an average of The Titans, who have seen the Over go 9-3 their last 12 games, had one of the worst defenses in the league last season and gave up 31 points last week vs. the Rams. The Tennessee offense has also been putting up points, scoring 27 points last week and 25 vs. a tough Baltimore defense the week before. The Colts have seen the Over go 5-2 their last seven October games while the Titans have seen the Over go 7-2 their last nine October meetings. The last three meetings in this series have seen combined final scores of 56, 48 and 75 points. Expect another shootout. Play on the OVER *Total of the Week

Game: Detroit Lions at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Oct 2 2005 1:00PM
Prediction: over
Reason: Five of the last six meetings between the Bucs and Lions have produced 37 points or more. The most recent meeting came in 2002, the year which the Bucs won the Super Bowl. That game had an over/under line of 37 and ended up finishing with 43 points in a 23-20 Tampa Bay victory. The Bucs defense has been playing well. However, the defense is no better than it was during that Super Bowl season. I feel that the current total is too low providing solid value with the Over. The Lions, who have a ton of weapons on offense, gave up 38 points themselves in their last game! Look for the final score to find a way to finish above this low number. Play on the OVER
