Friday Night Sports Lines and Odds

It's Friday night, relax and watch some football. Not interested in the Pac-12? Here at ATS Sports Line, we are thrilled for the opening Friday of the NBA season. There's an exciting doubleheader on ESPN and several other exciting matchups. If you are home on a Friday night or just want to DVR some games, this is great night to lay some money down.

Let's get the night started:

Washington (4-4) at California (3-6)

Last year: WASHINGTON (pk) over Cal, 31-23. California is coming off a tough, 49-27 loss to Utah on the road, while Washington shocked Oregon State at home, 20-17.
Washington allows 386.4 yards per game and 28 points per game. Cal is led by wide receiver Kennan Allen, who has the career record for catches in school history with 203 yards. Washington is 0-7 ATS L7 road games. The line for tonight's game: Cal is a 4-point favorite. Total: 52.

Milwaukee (0-0) at Boston (0-1)

Boston will be looking to improve their defense against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Celtics were the NBA's second-best defensive team last season, giving up an average of 89.3 points. They failed to carry over that into the season opener Tuesday, falling 120-107 to Miami in a rematch of their seven-game conference finals series. With the additions of Samuel Dalembert and Joel Przybilla, the Bucks have six players at least 6-foot-10 to clog the paint. Boston is 5-1 ATS L6 Friday games. NBA Odds: Boston is a 7.5-point favorite. Total: 196.5.

Miami (1-0) at NY Knicks (0-0)

This is the first game played in New York City since Hurricane Sandy created havoc on the East Coast on Monday and Tuesday. New York should be well-rested but they are without F Amare Stoudemire. They need Ray Felton to keep the quick pace and limt the turnovers against the trapping Miami defense. Miami is 6-2 ATS L8 playing on 2 days rest. Line for tonight's game: Miami is a 5.5 point favorite. Total: 197.5.

LA Lakers (0-2) vs. LA Clippers (1-0)

The Clippers are coming off a 101-92 home win over Memphis. This was a hard-fought game as newly-acquired super-sub Jamal Crawford led the Clips with 29 points, but Chris Paul and Blake Griffin combined for just 23 points. The Lakers are now a disappointing 0-2 after losing to Portland on the road and Dallas at home. Steve Nash is nursing a shin injury and is questionable. Clippers are 9-4 ATS L13 in series. Pro Hoops Odds: No line or total at press time.
