Key Betting Odds for Friday

Gearing up for a big weekend of football winners? All eyes will be on the world of college football for the next couple of days as the conference championships are on tap, including two big games on Friday night with the MAC and Pac-12. There's also of ton of exciting NBA games available and many betting opportunities with sides and totals.

Let's get rolling!

UCLA (9-3) at Stanford (10-2)

The Pac-12 Championship involves two teams that recently played six days ago. UCLA comes into this game looking for revenge after Stanford defeated them at home last week. The winner goes to the Rose Bowl. Stanford replaced Josh Nunes at qb with freshman Kevin Hogan, who has led the Cardinal to wins over three ranked teams in Oregon State, Oregon and UCLA. UCLA Running back Johnathan Franklin needs 18 all-purpose yards to break Maurice Jones-Drew's school record and 66 yards rushing to set the Bruins’ single-season mark held by Karim Abdul-Jabbar. UCLA is 5-12 ATS in their last 17 road games. College Odds: Stanford is a 9-point favorite and the total is 44.0.

Northern Illinois (11-1) vs. Kent State (11-1)

Last year: NORTHERN ILL. (-14.5) over Kent State, 40-10. For the first time since 2003, two ranked teams will meet in the Mid-American Conference championship game (Kent State is #17, No. Illinois is #21). A possible automatic bid awaits the winner of this big game. If a team finishes in the top 16 and above, they can receive an automatic-qualifying conference in the final BCS standings. The Golden Flashes enter the game on a school-record 10-game winning streak and have defeated 12 straight conference foes overall. The Huskies, winners of 11 straight, are riding a 16-game conference winning streak. Northern Illinois is 5-0 ATS L5 in series. College Football Lines: Northern Illinois is a 7-point favorite. Total: 58.5.

Tennessee (4-1) at Georgetown (4-1)

Georgetown lost top scorers Jason Clark, Hollis Thompson and Henry Sims and look to be a Big East contender. The No. 20 Hoyas face Tennessee on Friday night as part of the SEC/Big East Challenge. Georgetown is coming off a 72-50 home win over Mount St. Mary's on Saturday. Guard Markel Starks is averaging 19.3 points on 57.9 percent shooting in the last three contests. Over that same span, sophomore forward Otto Porter has averaged 16.7 and 9.7 rebounds. The Vols have won two in a row overall since shooting an anemic 26.0 percent in a 62-45 loss to Oklahoma State in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off on Nov. 16. Jarnell Stokes and Trae Golden combined for 37 points on 14-of-17 shooting in a 77-50 win over Oakland on Monday. Tennessee is 1-6 ATS L7 Friday games. College Hoops Odds: Georgetown is a 5.5-point favorite. Total: NT.

Denver (8-7) at LA Lakers (7-8)

These are two of the more disappointing teams in the NBA. The Lakers are having issues at the point with Steve Blake and Steve Nash out with injuries. So Kobe Bryant is running the point and shooting the ball a ton. He had 40 points in their 79-77 home loss to Indiana. So much for Mike D'Antoni make an immediate impact as head coach. Denver is putting up 99.4 points per game, but they are allowing 98.3ppg. They have the talent to be a top four or five team in the West, but are inconsistent. It would help if Danilo Gallinari could find his three-point stroke (23%). Denver is 8-3 ATS L11 road games. Basketball lines: The Lakers are a 5-point favorite Total: 205.5.
