Call this a hunch if you will, but we all know that Dallas will not stay undefeated forever.. and if there is any situation that could bring them down in the next week, this is the team that will do so... The Pacers have more than enough frontcourt depth to be giving the Mavs trouble in this contest, and with Reggie Miller back in the Indiana lineup, Dallas will have their hands full in this contest, especially with no rest to tide them over prior to tonight's game...
When these two teams have squared off against one another, it has been pure entertainment, as seven of the last eight contests have been decided by single-digits, including last season's 141-140 double-overtime Dallas victory in Indiana... in fact, the last four games between these two in Indiana have been decided by a combined 10 points... overall, the home team in this series is 5-1 SU, with the only home loss coming in that double-OT battle... additionally, the home team has now covered four straight games in the series, while Indiana has covered three straight at home against the Mavs...
You know that Reggie Miller will be more than fired up for this game, as he always is in big games... and when you consider that the Pacers are now 4-0 in their last four games as a pick or dog at home, Indiana doesn't seem to handle disrespect well... While we don't advise to bet the farm on this one, we feel that the value in this game is with the Pacers, as this contest could go either way, and we're getting points at home to boot...
