Overall yesterday 3-3 for +(2.6) units and now 5-7 for -(11.1) units for the week.

Today's HIT Plays - 5/22/02

MLB: Line : Units : Comments

Giants (+100) (5)
Batista is no Schilling or Johnson with a 6.0 era at home. The Giants offense should have no problem getting on the board as they post 5 rpg on the road. The over may even be a play here. Edge to GIANTS.

Reds -135 (5)
The Reds have no problem with offense scoring 5.3 runs per game at home. Their bullpen has a 2.87 era and their starter for today's game is 2-0 when starting against FLORIDA with an ERA of 0.00 and a WHIP of 0.938. Edge to REDS.

Astros -115 (4)
Oswalt is the better pitcher in this matchup - with a 2.12 era vs. Kile's 3.24 era. Although the Cards have the better bullpen - I think the Astros get up early as they post 5 runs a game vs. right handers. Edge to ASTROS.

NYY/ Tor under 9 (-120) (4)
Both pitchers come into this game off of solid performances. Lilly has been an excellent fill in for the Yanks with a 2.73 era, while Halladay posts a 3.14 era. The last 2 outings by each pitcher have gone under and that trend should continue here. Edge to UNDER...

Av's -120 (5)
Have to take the Av's in the home opener.

MLB : 2-0 my first day on the job for +(8) units.

Mets -145 (5)
Leiter is 6-3 career vs. the Phils. He has a nice 1.41 road era, while the pen has been dependable with a 3.23 road era. Adams has a 3.18 era and the Phils are only 2-6 vs. leftie starters this year

Pirates +125 (3)
After a split of the double header yesterday I look for Pitt to shut down the Cubs today behind Williams. The Cubs are 3-8 vs. lefties and have a dismal 6-15 home record.

All stats are at the site. Good Luck.
