Just like yesterday, we will go with the tough home team. The Golden Gophers have plenty riding on this game. Add in a little revenge factor and it gives us a nice opportunity to play them here with some confidence.
This will be the last home game at Williams Arena for the seniors on the Minnesota squad. In addition, this game means an awful lot to the Gophers as far as having a meaingful March is concerned. This is their chance to make a statement. Beating a Wisconsin team who is now tied with Illinois for first place will certainly open some eyes. Playing at home will help. Minnesota is 14-2 SU on the home court while the Badgers are only 5-5 SU on the road. In addition, Minnesota is 17-6 ATS in home conference games over the past 3 years and 22-10 ATS seeking revenge against a team who beat them earlier by 10+ points.
The Golden Gophers aren't the best shooting team on the road, but at home it's a different story. Meanwhile, the Badgers shoot poorly on the road. I look for an inspired performance from this Minnesota squad today and will LAY THE SMALL NUMBER.
