Hey Guys,

Looking to put together around 3 football contests for this season. Two NFL and one College. I wanted to get some input though on what type of prizes you guys would like to see this year. Specifically on two main points.

First, I want to know your thoughts on how the prize structures have been so far. Most contests are based on some form of deposit and generally you get double what you deposit for the prize. Do you like this or not? If not what would you like to see changed.

Secondly, does anyone have any interest in having non-cash or betting account prizes? If so what?

Once I get some feedback from you guys you will start to see the contests being posted as soon as next week. BetUS is going to be a big contest sponsor this year as well as seeing continued support from MVP and Players SB. Gonna try to mix in a few other sports books as well hopefully.

I know a lot of you are shy but I would really appreciate some help with this. It's not always easy trying to keep things fresh around here. Your comments go a long way to helping me out!

MC,

I like the (200% bonus) prizes because I am gonna be playing offshore anyway. I'm sure it's easier to get richer prizes in that form. Just make sure it is good for a reload if it's a sponsor that has been around for a while.

Cash always works!

Thanks again,

Hook

Requiring a post-up to claim a prize is definitely reasonable.

For better chance of sponsor support and larger prizes, requiring a post-up would be even better - though it may not attract enough players.

For the repeat sponsors (e.g. V-Wager family) it's important to make sure all posters are eligible (and not just ones who haven't won before).

Looking forward to another season!

Postups are fine. Would be best if the one win per year was reduced especially with the VO group as they have so many books. Bottom line is that its all free money and that's the best kind.

Thanks guys, it's definitely appreciated. It's tough to juggle all this and keep the majority happy.

Let me ask you one more thing, what is the biggest amount you would be willing to claim given the current structure? To this point I have been pretty conservative keeping the required deposits to around $500 and $1000. These guys will put up more money but I don't want a situation where I give away $5000 and the winner wouldn't put up the $2500 to claim.

Thoughts....

Thanks again, really, this is a shy bunch most of the time!

Personally, I'm not enough of a high roller to be financially able to claim a prize requiring a postup of $1000 or more . . . especially if the rollover requirement is high. If the rollover is only 2 or 3 times, making it very unlikely you would lose postup + prize prior to the rollover, it might make it more acceptable. But it would also have to be a book with a stellar reputation for me to put up that kind of $$.

I really appreciate all of the contests you have here...but I hope you won't forget about the small-timers 🙂

I would think $1000 prize for $500 deposit is about as rich as it could get from this forum. I would certainly deposit $500 to have a $1500 account balance, that's tremendous!

I agree that a $500 deposit to claim a prize would be do-able for the most part here. It may go a bit higher ($1000) if the book had a -stellar- rep. Most of the sponsors are surely fine, but as we all know, there are some that are known for being heads and shoulders above the rest.

Got confirmation on BetUS as the sponsor for the NFL contest, I will have details up on that shortly as well. All we have outstanding is the MNF one...
