I've been waiting almost a year for this game. Lots of bad blood between these 2 teams. Last years game ended with Mia being robbed by the refs and losing at Marshall. I still remember the way that the game ended with coaches fighting and so on.
I went to the odds page today and see that Mia is favored by 13 !! I was expecting 8 or so and no more than 10.
It's a big deal for a school like Mia to have a nationally televised game and emotions should run high. Last week was the first time the Redhawks had a national spotlight game and they easily covered against a good Bowling Green squad.
Initially I planned on making this game my largest play of the season to date, but the big number has me spooked.
My gut feeling is that Mia will be rocking for this game and will hammer the Thundering Herd.Marshall's starting QB is out and 2nd string QB also banged up. These 2 teams truly hate each other and Mia will not let up if they get it going.
It's also tough to figure out Marshall as a road team as they beat K St and also lost to Troy St.
The early $ is also on Mia as the line opened at -11' at most places and is now -13.
Any thoughts on this game. Is the line too high or are they just trying too scare guys like me who want to load up on this game ?
