STRAIGHT WAGER 10/02 [942] NEW YORK YANKEES -185 (4*)

Andy Pettitte (13-5, 3.27 ERA) closed the regular season in fine form with a 5-0 record and a 2.23 ERA in September and was named American League Pitcher of the Month. Pettitte is 71-26 lifetime at home, including an 8-2 mark this season.

Pettitte went 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA in a pair of starts against the Angels this year and is 10-5 lifetime against them. The 30-year-old lefthander is 10-7 with a 3.42 ERA lifetime in the postseason. One of his most memorable starts came in Game Five of the 1996 World Series against Atlanta, when he tossed 8 1/3 spectacular innings in a 1-0 victory.i thought that anaheim would get the 1st game, but seems like the MGR choked in that game.i figured anaheim in game 1 and yanks easy in game 2.so i'm still sticking to yanks in game 2 even though it is a must win for anaheim.

maddux is 10 times more accurate.now the defence's of the other teams has to look out for that.before they would just stop the run and win cause stewert can't throw.and it looks like there D is back on the right track
