Montreal Expos (Armas) @ Atlanta Braves (Glavine)

Taking the home town Braves today who are 7-3 in their last 10 games and seem to be finding their bats.
Montreal sends Tony Armas to the mound who has struggled on the road with a 2-2 record and an ERA of 5.19 with a WHIP of 1.269, his last 3 starts have produces a 1-2 record with an ERA of 4.12. He has struggled against the Braves with the Expos losing 5 straight when he starts against them. His teams are 3-5 against Atlanta since '97 and he has an ERA of 2.32 and a WHIP of 1.232.

Atlanta sends Tom Glavine to the mound who has been rounding into form he is 7-2 on the year with an ERA of 1.67 and a WHIP of 1.08. He has 14 starts against Montreal since '97 and the Braves are 11-3 in those starts (with 5 straight wins) and he has an ERA of 2.72 and a WHIP of 1.066.

The Expos offense is just batting .217 on the road against left handers they are averaging 4.2 runs a game against them while allowing the opposition to score 5.2 with an on base percentage of .386. The bullpen has struggled a bit on the road with an ERA of 4.44 and a not so impressive WHIP of 1.775.

The Braves offense seems to be waking up they are batting .271 as a team against right handed starters in their last 10 games, they are scoring 4.6 runs a game at home while allowing their opponents 3.8 with an on base percentage of just .343. The bullpen has been solid with a 2.98 ERA and a WHIP of 1.296.

Glavine has averaged 8 innings against the Expos in his last 4 starts with the last two being complete game shut outs while Armas has had no luck against the Braves who's bats are looking allot better so I will lay the price on the Braves with the better pitcher and bullpen to get the win.

Playing Atlanta -181
