Top Betting Odds for Dec. 10

Welcome to bowl week. Get your picks ready and you pools updated. Before we get to the bowls, let's start with one of the best NFL matchups of the season along with a few NBA games. Need help? Check out ATS Sports Line and we'll assist you with the last three weeks of the regular season along with the bowls, which start on Dec. 15.

Time to start the new week with some NFL and hoops action:

Houston (11-1 SU, 8-4 ATS) at New England (9-3 SU, 7-5 ATS)

This could be one of the best matchups of the season on MNF or any other day. Houston is coming off a 24-10 win over Tennessee on the road giving 7, while New England defeated Miami on the road last week, 23-16 giving 8. Houston needs to establish the running game and Arian Fsoter. The Houston Texans have already wrapped up a playoff berth and are two games clear of the pack in the race for the top seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. New England is 1-4 ATS L5 in December. NFL Line: New England is a 4-point favorite. Total: 51.

Detroit (7-15 SU, 10-12 ATS) at Philadelphia (11-9 SU, 10-10 ATS)

Last game: Detroit (+7.5) over PHILADELPHIA, 94-76. Philadelphia entered this month on a three-game winning streak but have dropped three of their four December games after falling 92-79 at Boston on Saturday. They shot 39.2 percent after hitting only 37.4 percent from the floor the previous night in a 95-94 overtime win over the Celtics. Philadelphia ranks among the worst in the league with a 42.5 field-goal percentage. Detroit picked up its other with a 104-97 win Saturday at Cleveland behind a career-high 30 points from Brandon Knight, who hit 10 of his 20 shots and scored 23 in the second half. Favorite is 4-1 ATS L5 in series. NBA Lines: Philadelphia is a 6-point favorite. Total: 187.

Atlanta (12-5 SU, 7-9-1 ATS) at Miami (13-5 SU, 8-10 ATS)

Last game: Miami (-4.5) over ATLANTA, 95-89. Once again, Miami and Atlanta are the top two teams in the Eastern Conferece's Southeastern Division. Miami avoided its first three-game slide with Saturday's 106-90 home victory over New Orleans. The Hawks have opened December with three victories and arrive in South Beach after Saturday's impressive 93-83 victory at Memphis. Miami has won four straight over Atlanta, including a 95-89 road victory Nov. 9. Miami is 9-3 ATS L12 in series. Pro Hoops Odds: Miami is a 7-point favorite. Total: 195.5

San Antonio (17-4 SU, 14-6-1 ATS) at Houston (9-10 SU, 9-9-1 ATS)

Last game: SAN ANTONIO (-8.5) over Houston, 114-92. Houston coach Kevin McHale rejoined the Rockets for Saturday's 116-109 defeat to Dallas. The coach spent almost a month away from the team, and returned two weeks after the death of his daughter. The last game Houston played without McHale, Kelvin Sampson was interim coach for last Friday's 114-92 loss at San Antonio.. Six different Spurs reached double figures as they led by as many as 33 points and outscored the Rockets 60-38 in the paint. Tim Duncan was only needed to contribute 11 points in the Spurs' highest-scoring effort since a 133-111 win over Minnesota on April 12, 2010. The Spurs have won four straight and nine of 10, with the lone defeat the infamous loss at Miami in which Gregg Popovich left four key players at home. Houston is 5-1 ATS L6 home games. Basketball lines: NL at press time. Total: NT.
