Tough loss with the free play last night, as the Twolves were able to outlast Utah, thanks to KG ands Wally. Back at it tonight.

2/27 Play: PISTONS +7

Reason: For starters my handicapping calls for the Lakers to be no more than a 5 point favorite here. Let's sort through the hype and get down to the fundamentals surrounding this game. For starters, the Pistons are in the midst of what Rick Carlisle has deemed their toughest stretch in two years scheduling wise. Several Pistons point to the lack of practice time as a key contributor to their recent slide. Is fatigue a factor for Detroit? Maybe, but we are talking about one of the deepest teams in the league here. The Pistons pride themselves on hard work on both ends of the court, and one can always expect to get their best effort night in and night out. This is a big game for Detroit, as they really have a shot at proving themselves to the league. The Lakers come into this game, playing good, but IMO not great baskeball. Two days ago the Lakers closed as a 9 point favorite over the Clippers. Are you telling me that the Pistons are only 2 points better than the Clippers? I don't think so. I think the Pistons have a legit shot at winning tonight, but the moneyline is not offering enough value. For that reason, I'll pass the moneyline and take the 7 points.
