The 49ers are treating this one almost like a pre-season game personnel wise and, in general, are just concentraing on staying healthy before the playoffs. QB Jeff Garica will likely give way to back-up Tim Rattay in the second half and key starters Terrell Owens, Derrick Deese and Ahmad Plummer probably won't even play,
On the Cards side of things, it's no secret that local hero Jake Plummer will likely be playing his last home game and coach Dave McGinness is looking for a strong finish in the hopes of keeping his job. Also, due to injuries, the Cards are starting a lot of 2nd teamers who are trying to secure jobs for next season.
The Cards have the motivation in this one...take them to 3.5.
