Reason: Memphis lost a tough one in OT last night as they played Minny close before succumbing in OT. The Sixers suffered a devastating loss when David Wesley made a put back with 2 seconds on the clock. The Sixers rallied from a 20 point 1st quarter deficit, and should've won the game. There are a couple of angles that we're playing with this game. The first one states that since 1986 a team playing at home coming off a road game the night before covers only 42 to 44% of the time. When the home team is an underdog in the above situation, the system gets bumped to a 58% cover for the road team (in this case Philly). Couple this situation with the fact that Memphis played OT last night, and that Philly has the better team, and laying 5 points with Philly, appears to be a solid proposition.
