YTD posted plays 4-2
Hey Cash, 2 early plays from the great state of Michigan :
San Diego St +21' at Michigan
The Aztecs formula for improvement is somewhat unusual for a MWC team, they do it with physical play and defense. A nice way to go on the road as a large dog. SD St enjoyed a late surge in 2003 winning 3 of 4 and not allowing an offensive TD in 3 of those games. They return 9 starters to a defnse that was top in the MWC and 8th nationally. The Aztecs have a realistic shot to win the MWC this season as they host both Col St and Utah.
Yes, the Wolverines will be an ornery lot after last weeks loss to ND and have some of the best athletes in the nation on their team, but they have some issues at QB as they search for the right guy to replace Navarre. MIchigan may be hesitant to show their whole playbook as they have Iowa on deck, the only big 10 team to beat them in 2003.
Early last season the Aztecs traveled to Ohio St as a +30 dog and lost 16-13 in a game they could have won. I think they are good enough to keep this one within the 3 TD's.
Mich St +3' vs Notre Dame
Is an emotional win vs a hated rival ( as a DD dog ) enough to send the Irish on the road ( vs another hated rival ) as a favorite. I don't think so, I watched the BYU game. I was also at the Dome the last game of last year and watched a very mediocre Syracuse team absolutely pummel them. I'll take the home dog here.
I like SDS +21 all day. I think Michigan has some serious problems that will take at least two more games to figure out. These issues can't be resolved in practice situations I don't believe even if Lloyd works them like dogs. Plus I saw him at the bank in A2 yesterday while he was suppose to be at practice!!!!
MC
I like both plays.
I rate the Mich ST play much higher than SD ST.
Michigan is a totally different at home than on the road.
Hook
Aztecs were always gonna cover here. 6 TO'skilled the Spartan's chances.
