DALLAS -7 over New Jersey

The Dallas Mavericks try to extend their winning streak over the New Jersey Nets to six games tonight when they complete a three-game homestand at American Airlines Center. The Mavericks are 5-0 SU/ATS in the last five meetings with the Nets, including a 96-88 victory at Continental Airlines Arena on November 16. Dallas avoided matching its longest losing streak of the season on Saturday, snapping a two-game slide with a 114-87 thumping of the Memphis Grizzlies. Meanwhile, New Jersey has dropped four of its last five games, including a heartbreaking 91-90 home loss to the Utah Jazz on Sunday.

The Nets have lost their last four road games and are just 12-17 away from the Meadowlands this season. They have been in a funk since the All-Star break, having dropped eight of 14, and we don't see Dallas as the site where they will rediscover their game. The Mavs have won seven of their last nine games, and will be up for the defending Eastern Conference champs. Dallas is 13-3 ATS off one SU/ATS win, while the Nets are just 1-5-1 ATS vs. such competition. At home off a spread win as a double-digit fave, the Mavericks are 3-0 ATS, while Jersey is 0-2 ATS recently vs. such teams. Dallas should be in control here and gun their way to a double-digit victory.

PROJECTED FINAL SCORE: DALLAS 102 NEW JERSEY 91
