TEMPLE + 8 @ UNCC
It sure would be easy to bet against the Owls tonight as they play their 3rd road game in 4 nights.As I surf the various sites lots of guys are on UNCC and I have yet to see a Temple pick.So far on this trip Temple has played WF on Sun and lost by 7 and at SC on Mon keeping it close for a while but getting blown out in 2nd half. Other game was a loss to Rutgers at home in a close game. They have to travel to Penn (not really a road game) and Ill before they get to play in their own gym.2 more tough teams. UNCC has blown out LB St at home and lost to Appalchain St and Richmond away. So in terms of tough team opponents Temple has seen more so far. The real reason i like Temple is that their slow,grind it out style lends itself to playing well when having lots of games in a short ammount of days. I think this is why they have always played well in post season tournaments.I feel they are getting so many points because of the 3 games in 4 days thing. They're certainly not 8 pts worse than UNCC on any floor.Chaney takes his team on one of these killer road trips every year before the A 10 season begins.In years past they have improved over the course of these tough road trips and been a good investment when getting points. I'm playing Temple +8 tonight and will post with some other games in a while.
Unfortunately the sun does not shine every day. The Owls had every chance in the world to cover here but did not.
