Redbirds,
The matchups and odds haven't been posted yet, but these ae some players I am looking at who i think will perform well this weekend if we can get them in the right matchups with decent numbers.
Kevin Sutherland
Loren Roberts
Nick Price
Woody Austin
Robert Allenby
Fred Funk
Dicky Pride
This is a shortish course by todays standards and requires straight controlled shots , accurate iron play, and a good short game.Loren Roberts has all those tools and this is his home track. It will be hot and the above players perform well in the dog days of summer. Nick Price hs won twice here and is playing well.Funk was 5th at Westchester last week and this course is perfect for him.
I will post my bets as soon as I look at the head to heads and consider the odds.
* As the weather gets hot and the dog days of summer approach it's a good time to look at guys who are from Austrailia and Africa.
I have not put much time into this weeks match but Price looks good me too, will have to see match-ups.
F/L last week was a hard weekend to figure out for me. Im not putting any stock in the play of a lot of guys from last week, coming off a major and all the rain made for some crazy play. Any thought? For instance Goosen this guy has been ready to bust out for a while and he did but fell apart, which I was hopeing he would bust out soon but not bust out on friday. Woods, Ells, Furyk . The guy who wins is not the most well none golfer. I an chalking it up to a crazy weekend on the PGA tour. And will be ready once again for this weekend. Also got to watch if in the tourny my man Couples. Hehas been worth a lot of money so far this year.
Allenby +130 vs DiMarco
Price -115 vs Toms
Funk -105 vs Haas
Roberts +105 vs Triplett
K. Sutherland +100 vs Herron
Austin +100 vs Baird
Tourny plays
T Herron -117 def K Sutherland
B Estes -120 def R Allenby
C Dimarco -165 def R Allenby
Much better week went 3-0. Have a good field next week and should have some better match-ups.
Thanks for info. guys, unfortunately I was out there already with no access to computer. Played franco at 45-1. Did well on baseball though and played some very nice courses FL. Try the Revere at Anthem if you go out to vegas. The Lexington course there is awesome and great scenery. A buddy got me on both courses there for $48 a round. I pay that much for some cow pastures here in Ill and Mo. Good luck with upcoming golf picks.
