Another pro-am format this week where they play 3 different courses over 4 days. Pebble will be played twice by those who make the cut which comes after Sat round this week. All 3 courses are much more demanding than any courses the players have seen this year. The layouts will be damp and the advantage will go to players with a long , high ball flight. These are the matches I have wagered on :

1. Singh seems like he is on a mission this year and has been awesome. Phil has cashed twice for me this year but has hit it crooked with his driver. That will be trouble on these courses.

2. I think Fred can still play. His relaxed demeanor will serve him well in this format. not to mention his long ,high ball flight. Tom is good but that low hook he hits will not serve him well here.

3.Pampling is the best ,young Aussie that no one has heard of. Petrovic is a good young player who played well here last year, and at the Hope last week. I think Pampling will be a good investment this year and I will try him here.

4.Rocco should do well here as he is a relaxed dude and will be a crowd favorite. He hits a long , high draw which should be perfect here. He has cashed for me this year as has Choi, but I don't see these courses being right for KJ.

5. It's hard to go against Gogel here because of his great track record in this tournament winning here last year. This should have been Perez' tournament last year but he handed it to Matt on Sunday. Perez is one of the hot, young players on tour, a Q school winner, and should be determined this week. Also hits a high draw and is avg 295 yds off the tee so far this year. Also one of the putting leaders so far this year. A good combination.

That's it for this week. My record on this site for the 2003 season to date is 10-8-2. Looking to improve on that this week.

The courses are much drier that in previous years so things are going a little different than I expected, but still pretty good so far. Sat is moving day on the Tour so a lot will happen today. Results after round 2 are :

Mediate 4 up on Choi
Singh 2 up on Mickelson
Perez 7 up on Gogel
Couples 7 down to Lehman
Pampling 4 up on Petrovic

These dry conditions play right into Tom Lehmans game and I am going to see if I can find him for Sat-Sun, or Sun only matchup.
