Head to heads for this week.PGA Tour 2003 record on head to heads is 53-36-5 +1495
McCarron ( NL ) vs Triplett
I will take Scott again here this week if the line is reasonable. This is a Nicklaus design that was built for the way Jack played, high fades. Muck like last weeks venue where Scott played well and won for me, this course is perfect for his game, and he is playing well. A nice combination.
Mickelson +110 vs Singh
It's about time for Phil to win another golf tournament. Phil's wife had a difficult delivery with their 3rd child earlier this season. A devoted family guy, I think this weighed on Phil for a few weeks. With a clear mind and his game coming around nicely since Augusta, I think he'll be a handful this weekend. As a lefty who hits a draw this Nicklaus design should be a perfect fit. And we have a Tigerless field here. Vijay has been awesome but I have a hunch this could be Phil's week..
Toms -135 vs Howell III
David playing in his homestate will be a big factor as the crowd and all the LSU alum will be backing him. That worked well for Freddy last week and I'll give it a shot this week. Charles is a fine young player, but I think we get Toms at a pretty good price here.
Franco -115 vs Funk
Carlos is a 2 time champ here and after a long dry spell where he actually had to earn his card back, his game has shown signs of coming back. Carlos played well with some good finishes in Fla. Carlos has played 14 competitive rounds on this course and 13 of them have been under par.Thats good enough for me to lay this small price.
Cink ( NL ) vs Kelly
I will take Stewart here if the line is not to far off. Not all the lines are posted yet for the head to heads. Stewart is among the Tour leaders in stroke avg per 18. That is an important stat as the winner here this week could go low. Stewart has played very well since the week before Augusta and I see that continuing.
Appleby -115 vs DiMarco
Appleby almost won at Houston last week but was done in by Freddy's heroics. I love betting on a guy after a near miss, you know their game is in top form. Stuart is a world class player when in peak form. Chris has a good record here, but has not been in top form lately. Again, I'll lay the small price with Appleby.
Im looking for some feedback on this one :
Annika Sorenstam to MAKE the cut at Colonial +340
I think she can. She is that good. I haven't bet it yet as I'm looking for more opinions.
As always, good luck to those who wager on golf this week.
On Annika I am saying she will make the cut IF.....
The weather is favorable. Too wet or too windy I think hurts her more then it would a man. I am hating having to sweat this out because I don't want the line to go down too much. But I can't in good faith bet this early without knowing a little more about the conditions.
Things hold I will be laying $500 on her to MAKE the cut. I hope you guys wait with me so we can keep that number at 300+
MC
Very good point. A soggy golf course could hurt her chances.I will wait until weather forecast is reasonably accurate. Has the line changed much ? I t seems like since the last time I checked people are betting against her.
Still +340 at Olympic. Only a few places have it up as I think.

the 2 plays that didn't have odds when I poste this are as follows :
McCarron -110 vs Triplett
Cink -120 vs Kelly
I Had no time earlier to place any plays, F/L maybe sat.
I understand Annika already played the course on the QT from the whites and didnt fare so well. I feel she wont make the cut at all. Many of the men wont want her to outscore them and they will play very hard so as to not be beaten by a her. I find it hard for her to play the whites and make the cut.
Do either of you have a guess as to where the cut might fall?
MC
3 over made the cut in 2002
After 3 rounds :

Toms L missed cut
Franco W Funk missed cut
matches still alive :
Mickelson 2 dn to Singh
Cink 4 dn to kelly
McCarron 3 dn to triplett
Appleby-DiMarco tied
I need some guys to go low today.
Mickelson shoots 77 and my other guys don't fare well.
