Need some input from the group. Gonna run a NFL and a NCAA contest simillar to the MLB POD. If anyone has some suggestions that would be great.

I got the MNF one covered and I am gonna run some special ones along the way but for the main two I would like to know what everyone thinks.

All suggestions are appreciated.

This gets my blood flowing. What if you had to pick underdogs to cover and go off a point system like the 20 pt contest in baseball. It may be a lot of work but give everyone involved 3 teams and those will be their teams for the year. You could have win/loss record or Points allowed vs. points scored. I don't know just some ideas. I will keep thinking

cash how about college first:
every sat. each week everyone picks 8 teams ats , college has plenty to pick from. it would be fun to keep track of everyones picks, such a variety.

pros go w/5 each week ats.

Because of Boxer's 600 posts again last night I had to dig this up about 3 pages back. Keep the ideas comin. We got a little time left before we have to organize everything. The more ideas the merrier. Once we get a decent amount I will put a poll up and you can all vote on the one you like best

Another that is a bit more work:

3 sat games, 3 sun games ranking them how you like 6 down to 1. That way if someone really likes a game, it could be worth 6pts instead of being cancelled out by a game not liked as much that loses.

I've always been a fan of a suicide pool as mentioned above.

I like the "suicide pool" aka. winners pool or losers pool. Pick a winner or a loser for each week of games - straight up - no spread.

Ok, we will do a suicide pool for one of them. Pick the league, NFL or NCAA and then we will pick something else for the other league.

Also, just something to think about. I like that concept as well, but for the other one try and find something a little closer to the POD that we can do like every month throughout the season. That way the people that get eliminated in the other contest still have something to play for!

suicide has to be in the pros, you cant take the same team twice. too many college teams for suicide.

as for college you have 4 or 5 saturdays for a good monthly contest.some saturdays you have 60 games in a day. i think each player picks 8 games each sat, ats. if you have a bad week you can still have a chance w/ a good week. its tough to win w/ 8 teams ats in one day. it'll be fun to watch your picks against our family cappers. just another idea. thanks mc for site and all the contest(IT'S FUN & SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO) pops
