Do they play 1 period, then another till its broken.
If a team scores is that the end? (like sudden death)
example miami 6 1/2 NE now in ot
if I bet miami can I still win, or even if they score a td
they dont bother to kick extra point and its over.
Thanks

rocky...they don't play till its over...the game can still end in a tie... and unfortunately if you have miami -6.5 you can't win...they don't kick the extra pt!!!

college on the other hand, you have a slim glimmer of hope.

I've had teams at +7' and +10 going into OT and lost both games. 1st team scores TD, and my dog gives up and INT and Fumble returns to end the games losing by 13.

Both games were last year.

ok yes I was confused on that.
I was actually on NE and was anxious to get the win graded(which I didnt think I could lose) since I wanted to roll it over onto a 415 game(shut out on winner- next time I guess I should just parlay)

so nfl goes for ot 15 minutes OR until the 1st score and thats it. if no score 15 more minutes of same and if no score they finish with tie.
In college the play for the full? 15 minutes so 1st score will not necessarily win or could end up winning by 20?

You have got the NFL OT cleared up, but you are still confused on the College. College OT:

Each team will get the ball from their opponents 25 yard line. They can play as many OT sessions as needed to determine a winner. After 3 OT teams are forced to go for a 2 pt conversion after a TD.
