Texas -29 at Rice

I liked this game even before Tex got whupped last week. Rice also travels to Honolulu next week and teams in that role perform very poorly ATS. I see the Horns delivering the whuppin this week.

BC +12' vs Mia,Fla

Similar situation to 2 yrs ago where Mia was very fortunate to escape Chestnut Hill with a win as a 20 pt fave. I see the Eagles hanging tough as a home dog here.

NC St -6' vs Tex Tech

The Wolfpack won a 51-48 shootout in Lubbock last year. I think NC St bounces back from last weeks loss in Columbus in a big way. QB Rivers has a huge day as the Wolfpack should handily cover this number.

Tulane -16' at Army

Somehow the Cadets won in New Orleans last year in a low scoring affair. The Cadets were bad last year and if last weeks game vs Rutgers is any indication they are a truly horrible team this year. The Green Wave are a much improved team with a high octane offense that will score a lot of points. I don't see Army scoring enough points to keep it close. Lay the lumber with a revenge minded Tulane squad here.

Tenn +3' at Fla

REVENGE. The Gators ran it up on an injury riddled Vol unit last year in Knoxville. This is one of the SEC's most bitter rivalries and the Vols get some payback here. Tenn QB Claussen is 10-0 SU as the starter in last 10 road contests for the Vols.

Air Force -20 vs Wyoming

The Falcons somehow lost at home to the Cowboys last year. Probably a letdown the week after a hardfought loss to ND on national TV. I don't think Wyo has a prayer of stopping the Air Force wishbone in this game. Again I'll lay the big wood and back the revenge minded Falcons here.

North Texas +21 at Arkansas

There are lots of reasons to like the dog here. Ark could be in a bit of a letdown mode after last weeks huge win at Texas. For the Hogs this game is also sandwiched between Tex and Ala. A nice spot for a team like the Mean Green to step in and play them tough. The Green have played in a lot of places that are tough to win, and covered in the past few years. They will not be intimidated in Little Rock. They also defend the run very well and specialize in low scoring, field position type of games. That will make a 20 pt number tougher to cover for the Hogs. I'll take shot with the big dog here.
