KING OF THE HILL

ST LOUIS -9 OVER SAN FRANCISCO BY 14 !

Two bad teams in this one, but I have some facts and stats to make the Rams look like gold on Saturday. The 49ers have average just 11 points per game on the road this year. They have given up an average of 32 points per game when playing on the road. St. Louis will also be out to avenge an opening day lost to SF 28-25. The 49er's are 2-23 SU in their last 25 road game. The right side here are the Rams.

The Real Animal

Saturday's complimentary NFL 1* opinion is Kansas City +1 1/2 over San Diego:

Kansas City is 13-3 the last 16 meetings with San Diego at Arrowhead and more importantly has won 17 consecutive December home games. It’s always tough to travel in back-to-back weeks in December and the Chargers come off an obvious letdown spot with Indianapolis. KC 5-0-1 ATS in same-season revenge at home (9-1 in December long term) and of course lost in San Diego earlier this year. The Chiefs also 33-10 ATS as a home underdog. Some great numbers but I’m not sure I want to oppose a team that is 12-1-2 ATS on the road. The KC defense is vulnerable at the moment allowing 27 or more in three straight. But the Chiefs are 23-4 SU against division rivals at home when coming off a loss and I’ll support that. It’s also now or never for KC but San Diego is battling Pittsburgh for probably the last playoff spot in the AFC

Info Plays
NFL
10* on Jacksonville -6
Jacksonville has the 4th ranked defense in the league, which has allowed them not to miss a beat even in Leftwich's absence. The Jags front four get a great push up front and David Carr will wind up on his backside all day. If the Jags win they can clinch a Wild Card spot, so they'll be more ferocious than ever this week. This one won't even be close.

7* on New York Giants +3
Washington's pass rush may have killed Dallas last week, but they didn't have a Tiki Barber to worry about coming out of the backfield who has rushed for nearly 1600 yards this season. The Giants' ability to run the football opens up big play opportunities for Shockey and Burress. New York has too many weapons for Washington's defense to contend with. Take the points.

7* on San Deigo -1
San Deigo is coming off a huge win over Indy to end their unbeaten streak. The Cheifs have dropped two in a row with a bad defensive showing against the 'boys and a bad offensive output agaist the Giants last week. Inconsistency doesn't win games, especially against quality opponents in the midst of a playoff race. Take the Chargers!

CFB
7* on Nevada -2.5
Nevada is coming off a huge win over one of the most potent offensive teams in the country, then 16th ranked Fresno State who put up over 40 points on USC. UCF had a great turnaround this year after a winless season last year, but Nevada's 32.8 points a game will be too much against a medicore at best defense.
