However, this is still a very talented team that we think will give the Buckeyes fits here at this generous price. At least the Tigers losses have come vs. some good competition (Cincinnati, Houston, Northern Iowa), and those three defeats were by a TOTAL of just eight points! Ohio State may be 9-0, but they have played a cupcake-filled schedule to this point. We will back the more battle-tested Tigers as a dog in this spot.

Tulsa is also underrated defensively as the Golden Hurricane allowed just 23.4 points and 342.3 total yards per game. We look for both of these teams to make enough stops for this game to top out at around 50 points or so.

We anticipate a nail biter here that will not be decided until the final buzzer.

In fact, LMU is actually averaging a fraction more points per game (69.6) than SDSU is (69.0), and remember that the Lions knocked off the Aztecs 72-68 last season.

While they are very good as an underdog, the Wazzou style makes it difficult to cover this many points as a favorite. Arizona State is averaging 72.0 points and is outscoring its opponents by an average of +4.3 points per game.

+8.5 / 2 units NFL OAKLAND RAIDERS +8.5 (ESPN - Sat., 12/31, 8:00 ET) – The Giants blew their chance to clinch the NFC East title in Washington last week, so they now must win this season finale on the road to claim the division. While the Raiders look like an easy opponent based on their play over the last few weeks, we expect a much more inspired Oakland team to show up this week in this spoiler role. Remember that Raider quarterback Kerry Collins was unceremoniously dumped by the Giants at the end of last season, and he has already stated publicly that he would like to get some revenge on his old teammates. Also, for all of their problems, the Raiders do have some gifted players at the offensive skill positions in running back Lamont Jordan and wide receiver Randy Moss, and we look for them to put enough points on the board to keep this game very interesting.

BIG AL'S SATURDAY NFL 3-PACK (3-0 LAST SUNDAY)

San Diego -- At 4:30 pm, our selection is on the San Diego Chargers, who fall into a 25-2 ATS 'Last Home Game' system of mine which plays against certain winning teams off a win. Last week, Denver clinched the number 2 spot in the AFC with a blowout of Oakland, and the Broncos will be resting their starters on Sunday. Take San Diego minus the points.

Oakland -- At 8 pm, our selection is on the Oakland Raiders who fall into a Late Season angle of mine that is 54-24 ATS which involves playing on certain home teams that have a won/loss percentage at least .229 less than their foe, provided our team is off a loss, and it's a non-division contest. Last week, the Raiders fell 22-3 at Denver, to drop to 4-11 on the season (.266). With New York's win percentage at .666, the Raiders fall into our 54-24 system, and we'll take the points with the Raiders here.

Oakland/Giants 'over' -- At 8 pm, our selection is on the Giants & Raiders to go 'over' the total, as it falls into a system of mine that's 114-78 which plays on the 'over' in certain games where a team has scored less than 20 points combined in its last 2 games. Oakland comes into Saturday night's game off 9-7 and 22-3 losses, and will rebound tonight with a much better offensive output. Look for this game to be high-scoring.
