It appears the Boston Red Sox have lost rookie third baseman Will Middlebrooks with a broken wrist. Middlebrooks was hit on the right wrist by a pitch in the ninth inning of Friday’s contest with the Cleveland Indians. Middlebrooks is batting .288 with 15 homers and 54 RBIs in 75 games for Boston this season.
