College Basketball Betting Odds and Previews: Feb. 23

There are numerous betting opportunities this Saturday, including the annual BracketBusters. This includes some great mid-major games against teams that might be knocking on the tournament door. There are also several big top 25 matchups and key college conference contests. Get out the coffee and start your day early as there's some great hoops from 11amET all the way past midnight. Are you ready for some incredible college basketball?

#11 Georgetown Hoyas (20-4 SU, 13-7 ATS) at #8 Syracuse (22-4 SU, 14-8 ATS)

Last game: (2/8/12) SYRACUSE (-9) over Georgetown, 64-61ot. One of the great rivalries in college basketball is ending. Syracuse is moving to the ACC next season and Georgetown could be headed towards a non-football league. Georgetown is the hottest team in the league, winning eight straight games. Syracuse is coming off two straight wins, including an 84-59 win over Providence giving 12. Georgetown is 10-1 ATS last 11 overall. College Basketball Odds: Syracuse is a 7-point favorite. Total: 122.

North Carolina State Wolfpack (19-7 SU, 12-12 ATS) at North Carolina Tar Heels (18-8 SU, 15-9 ATS)

Last game: (1/26/13) NORTH CAROLINA STATE (-4) over North Carolina, 91-83. The Wolfpack have won three straight after losing three straight. They crushed Florida State, 84-66 giving 8 points on Tuesday. North Carolina is looking for revenge and also their ninth win in the ACC. They won two straight including a 70-58 victory at Georgia Tech giving 3.5 on Tuesday. The Tar Heels are led by forward James Michael McAdoo, who had 22 points and 11 boards against the Yellow Jackets. NC State is 2-6 ATS last 8 road games. College Basketball Line: North Carolina is a 5.5-point favorite. Total: 158.5.

#16 New Mexico Lobos (22-4 SU, 13-10-2 ATS) at #21 Colorado State Rams (21-5 SU, 12-9-1 ATS)

Last game: (1/23/13) NEW MEXICO (-4.5) over Colorado State, 66-61. The Lobos are looking to sweep the Rams and hold onto the Mountain West lead with a 9-2 record. New Mexico has won two straight including a 60-50 home win over Boise State last Saturday giving 9. Colorado State had a six-game winning streak halted by UNLV on Wednesday, but 61-59, but did cover the four-point betting line. Two of the league's top point guards go at it as New Mexico's Kendall Williams goines up against the Rams' Dorian Green. Home team is 8-2 ATS last 10 in series. College Hoops Odds: Colorado State is an 6.5-point favorite. Total: 128.

Creighton Bluejays (22-6 SU, 13-12-1 ATS) at St. Mary's Gaels (23-5 SU, 12-12-1 ATS)

Last game: none. This the highlight of the BracketBusters event. Both teams need this game to solidify their NCAA status. Despite suffering through a three-game losing streak, Creighton bounced back to win two straight including a 59-45 win over Southern Illinois on Feb. 19 at home. Doug McDermott is one of the top players in the nation for the Bluejays. St. Mary's has won two straight since falling at home to Gonzaga by 17 on Feb. 14. They did beat BYU, 64-57 on Thursday at home, giving 8.5. Creighton is 1-9-1 ATS last 11 overall. Hoops Odds: St. Mary's is a 4.5-point favorite. Total: 144.5.
