Note: Going back to the same well with this one. The Panthers having trouble goaling this year but they do have a super bigtime goalie. It will take 7 to beat us and we just don't see that happening. Rangers playing good D as well and have allowed just 2 goals total last 2 games and just 13 in regulation play in the 6 they have played this year...

Note: We really do not like to lay 152 very often but tonight's contest is going to be an exception. Consider this. The home team in this series is 9-1-1 in the last 11 meetings. The Wings are 22-2-1 all-time in Motown verses the Sharks. Despite the line, we see value here. We will probably see a bit of scroing tonight as the Redwings have netted 24 through 6 and the Sharks 20 through 5. The Wings have the decided advantage at goalie with Legace, who has a 2.01 goals-against average and a 91 percent save percentage.

ST. LOUIS +13½ over Indianapolis
We all know the Colts are going to get their points tonight but the question is will the Rams get theirs. The Colts have finally found some defense and they look like nobody can beat them at the moment. However, has this defense really been tested yet? A look at their feeble schedule shows they’ve played Baltimore, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Tennessee, and Frisco. The only real offense they faced thus far is that of the Tennessee Titans and the Titans managed 204 yards on the ground and Steve McNair finished 28-37 for 220 yards. Now, don’t get us wrong, we’re not saying this defense isn’t improved, in fact, it most certainly is but we’re going to have to see them shut down offenses like Denver’s or San Diego’s or even the Giants or Dallas to trust that they warrant being a 13½ point favorite over the Rams. This is a huge number and few teams are ever favored by this much in the NFL and it has to be a very long time since the Rams were receiving this type of wood. In addition, the line is a big time insult to the players and you can be damn sure that each and every player is fully aware of what the line is. It’s insulting, it really is and we all know how NFL players hate to be disrespected. The Colts are a great team, there’s no denying that, however, is this a bigger mismatch than Seahawks/Titans? According to the line it is. The Colts were 13-point chalk over the Brownies three weeks ago and according the number, this is a bigger mismatch than that one. You see, because the Colts are undefeated and because they’re so popular, you’re absolutely going to pay a premium to wager on them tonight. Fact is, the Rams have an excellent offense; one of the best in the business and you can’t be giving away nearly two converted TD’s to an offense of this caliber. Play: St. Louis +13½
