this is one of the best, if not the best team in the country, can't believe they are only favored 3 over texas a&m, may be a trap, but if it is i'm getting trapped, love tech saturday, put it in if you can, it's got to go up, a&m looked mediocre to me at best, although they are tough at home, not tough enough to stop jones and suggs
the only problem i see if A&M stops the run can VT beat you through the air
i think randall is very capable of passing, but look for the option quite a bit this weekend to get outside, they may not be able to run it right up the gut, as they did against marshall, but they will find a way to run the ball, my guess is alot of option, but i don't think a&m beats them even if tech has to revert to passing, i'm 20 minutes from blacksburg so i see or hear everything that these guys do, and this is the best team that they have ever had, including the vick days, and i'm not necessarily a tech fan, for what it's worth
good input brother.this is what we need.people who live by the colleges and know how the team is gonna do.
I'll tell you why this is a trap - since 1998 Texas A&M is 5-0 ATS as a home underdog and they know they are not favored in this one. This one should be a nail-biter as A&M has 7 starters back on a defense that didn't allow a 100 yard rusher last year. I'm staying away from this one.
Guys everyone forgets ther are three heads to a football team and when looking at a game special teams are always I MEAN ALWAYS overlooked. Va Tech will have the ball in great field position a good portion of the game, they always have great returns and block kicks. A good coach knows this but still will find it hard to have time to practice on this the way Va Tech does. I realy like Va Tech here.
Almost forgot
nickyc from first post "if not the best team in the country"
Come on bro can you spell
C-A-N-E-S
LETS GO CANES
alright VA Tech can come in second
i'm not that big on trends but a couple of counter trends in techs favor- tech is 8-0 ATS as road favs of 9.5 or less, also tech is 8-0 ATS in lined road openers
Nicky Don't be shocked .
Phil Steele's PowerSweep" (NorthCoast)
has Tex A&M as it's Dog Of The Week.
This designation has a strong influence among
players.
