Pro Football Sports Lines and Odds

There's another great card in the NFL in Week 13. So pull out the folding chairs and invite the friends. Here's a betting primer for some of the key NFL games on Sunday, December 2. This will help you with your wagering, your pools, fantasy matchups and survivor pools. Need help? Feel free to try ATS Sportsline.

Here we go!

Seattle (6-5 SU, 7-4 ATS, 4-7 O/U) at Chicago (8-3 SU, 6-5 ATS, 6-5 O/U)

Colin Kaepernick gets the start for the Niners even with Alex Smith available to play this week. The 49ers are coming off a 32-7 win on Monday night over the Bears, while New Orleans dominated Oakland, 38-17 on the road giving 6. Last year: SAN FRANCISCO (+3) over New Orleans, 36-32. OLB Aldon Smith leads a ferocious San Francisco defense. New Orleans defense ranks last against the run, allowing 157.8ypg. The good news is that speedy RB Darren Sproles is expected back for the Saints. New Orleans is 15-3 ATS L18 at home. NFL Odds: San Francisco is a 1-point favorite. Total: 49.

New England (8-3 SU, 7-4 ATS, 9-2 O/U) at Miami (5-6 SU, 5-6 ATS, 4-7 O/U)

Last game: NEW ENGLAND (-9) over Miami, 27-24. New England has a chance to put more distance between themselves and the rest of the division. Their offense hasn't even missed a beat without injured TE Rob Gronkowski. Miami usually wants to pick up the tempo, as that best suits rookie QB Ryan Tannehill's style. However, they don't want to get into a shootout with the Patriots. Establishing the running game led by Reggie Bush, will be key. New England is 4-1 ATS L5 on the road in series. NFL Odds: New England is a 7-point favorite. Total: 51.5.

Indianapolis (7-4 SU, 7-4 ATS, 4-7 O/U) at Detroit (4-7 SU, 5-6 ATS, 7-3-1 O/U)

The Lions are pretty much done after a brutal loss last week on Thanksgiving, at home to Houston, 34-31 in overtime. So they will play for pride. QB Matthew Stafford is on pace for another 5,000 yard season and WR Calvin Johnson is the best in the game. But the Lions can't run the ball. With LT Jeff Backus hurting, the Colts' OLBs Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney will try and take advantage and get Stafford out of the pocket. QB Andrew Luck hasn't always played well on the road and will have to move more considering how good Detroit's defensive line is led by Ndamukong Suh. Colts are 6-0 ATS L6 in December. NFL Line: Detroit is a 6.5-point favorite. Total: 51.

Tampa Bay (6-5 SU, 8-2-1 ATS, 8-3 O/U) at Denver (8-3 SU, 6-5 ATS, 7-4 O/U)

Tampa Bay's pass defense will be really tested against Peyton Manning. The Bucs have allowed 51 pass plays of 20-plus yards and they have to face Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. Thomas leads the Broncos with 61 catches for 1,015 yards. He will go up against Leonard Johnson, an undrafted rookie from Iowa State, who has given up two 80-yard TDs. Denver has won six straight and Manning has a 110.2 passer rating at home. The Bucs are balanced offensively led by super rookie Doug Martin. QB Josh Freeman will spread it around but his playmaker is Vincent Jakcson, who knows a thing or two about Denver's secondary, having played at San Diego. Tampa Bay is 18-7-1 ATS L26 road games. NFL Line: Denver is a 7.5-point favorite. Total of 50.5.

Pittsburgh (6-5 SU, 4-6-1 ATS, 4-7 O/U) at Baltimore (9-2 SU, 5-5-1 ATS, 6-5 O/U)

Last game: Baltimore (-3) over PITTSBURGH, 13-10. This is one of the hardest-hitting rivalries in the NFL. Pittsburgh will be without QB Ben Roethlisberger again, which means Charlie Batch will start. The Steelers turned it over 8 times last week in a 20-14 loss at Cleveland. Batch threw three picks in that game. Pittsburgh must take advantage of Baltimore's 26th-ranked run defense and utilize all three running backs. Pittsburgh's defense held Ray Rice to 40 yards on 20 carries in their first meeting, two weeks ago. The Ravens escaped San Diego with a 4th-and-29 conversion to Rice late in the 4th quarter and wound up winning in OT, 16-13 as a 1-point favorite . The dog is 7-3-2 ATS L12 in series. Football odds: Baltimore is a 7-point favorite. Total: 35.
