Pro Football Sports Lines and Odds

You probably needed a football fix after a long week and we have one for you on Sunday with some great games in Week 14. Here's a betting primer for some of the key NFL games on Sunday, December 9. Don't forget about the injuries, trends, and other resources needed to win on Sunday. Next week, the bowls start, so football continues to roll on.

Let's go!

New Orleans (5-7 SU, 6-6 ATS) at NY Giants(7-5 SU, 5-6-1 ATS)

Last year: NEW ORLEANS (-7) over NY Giants, 49-24. The Saints won this game last year on Monday Night Football as Drew Brees threw for four TDs. Brees is struggling after throwing for 5 picks last Thursday in their loss at Atlanta, 23-13. The Giants have their own issues, as they fell on the road to division rival Washington, 17-16, giving 2.5. The Giants are still in first place, but a loss here and a Dallas and Washington win, would mean a tie at the top of the NFC East. New Orleans is 4-1 ATS L5 in series. NFL Odds: NY Giants are a 5-point favorite. Total: 53.

Baltimore (9-3 SU, 5-6-1 ATS) at Washington (6-6 SU, 7-5 ATS)

Washington has the top-ranked ground game in the NFL thanks to rookie RB Alfred Morris and rookie QB Robert Griffin III. Baltimore could be without OLB Terrell Suggs (biceps), who is a game-time decision. Baltimore needs a big game from RB Ray Rice, who needs to take the pressure of QB Joe Flacco, who has struggled on the road all season. Baltimore needs this one after falling at home to Charlie Batch and Pittsburgh, 23-20. Washington has the momentum after beating the Giants at home on MNF. Baltimore is 7-2 ATS L9 in Week 14. NFL Odds: Washington is a 2.5-point favorite. Total: 47.5.

Dallas (6-6 SU, 4-8 ATS) at Cincinnati (7-5 SU, 6-5-1 ATS)

Here come the Bengals! Cincinnati has won four straight and gets a big test with a Dallas team coming in to Paul Brown Stadium. RB DeMarco Murray is back and gave Dallas a boost last week. But the key for Dallas will be protecting QB Tony Romo against a Cincinnati defense that has produced 39 sacks. Cincinnati has allowed just 10.5 points in their last four games. The Bengals also have established RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis as an improved running game takes pressure off of young QB Andy Dalton. Dallas is 1-5 ATS L6 overall. NFL Line: Cincinnati is a 3-point favorite. Total: 45.5.

San Diego (4-8 SU, 5-7 ATS) at Pittsburgh (7-5 SU, 5-6-1 ATS)

Pittsburgh gets Ben Roethlisberger back and it couldn't come at a better time. After edging Baltimore on the road last week, 23-20, the Steelers have a shot at the AFC North. Their defense leads the NFL in fewest yards allowed and that's not good news for the immobile Phillip Rivers. The Chargers need to find a way to protect him or at least run the football. Norv Turner, who will likely get fired after the season, is 0-6 SU lifetime against Pittsburgh. San Diego is 6-0 ATS L6 in Week 14. NFL Line: Pittsburgh is a 7.5-point favorite. Total of 41.5.

Detroit (4-8 SU, 5-7 ATS) at Green Bay (8-4 SU, 6-6 ATS)

Last game: Green Bay (-3) over DETROIT, 24-20. Despite their issues on defense and with their running game, Detroit QB Matthew Stafford is having a big year. In his last start at Lambeau Field, Stafford threw for 520 yards and five TDs. The Packers have a load of injuries on both sides of the ball. They will start an undrafted rookie at right tackle in Don Barclay. Starting RB Alex Green will be backed up by newly-signed and Ryan Grant. Detroit needs to get the ball to WR Calvin Johnson, who leads the NFL with 1,428 receiving yards. Green Bay is 10-3 ATS L13 in series. Football odds: Green Bay is a 6.5-point favorite. Total: 50.5.
