The third round of the NCAA Tournament continues with some amazing action.

#10 Iowa State Cyclones (23-11 SU, 16-13 ATS) vs. #2 Ohio State Buckeyes (27-7 SU, 20-11-1 ATS)

Intangibles:

Ohio State is on a major roll even before winning the Big 10 tournament.
Iowa State is smaller and quicker. With excellent guards and three-point shooting.
Ohio State has advanced to three straight Sweet 16s.

Keys to Success:

Ohio State needs to make it a halfcourt game but what else is new for a Big 10 team? Aside from Michigan and Indiana, the Buckeyes are a traditional blue collar team with a star in forward Deshaun Thomas and a defensive-minded point guard in Aaron Craft. Iowa State needs a big game from forward Will Clyburn, the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, who had nine points in the first half against Notre Dame but didn't score in the second half. They didn't need him to score because Melvin Ejim, who averages 19 points per game, scored 17 and grabbed eight rebounds. The Cyclones shoot 37.2 percent from three-point range and Ohio State allows teams to shoot 31.5 percent. They also allow teams to average just 58.3 points per game.

Ohio State has won nine straight games including a 95-70 win over Iona on Friday, giving 15. Iowa State has won four of their last five including beating Notre Dame, 76-58 on Friday night as a 1-point betting odds favorite. Ohio State is 12-4 ATS last 16 Sunday games. College Basketball Odds: Ohio State is a 7-point betting odds favorite. Total: 141.5.

#8 North Carolina Tar Heels (25-10 SU, 21-12 ATS) vs. #1 Kansas Jayhawks (30-5 SU, 19-15 ATS)

Intangibles:

Kansas has the edge on the interior led by Jeff Withey, who has an NCAA Tourney record with 31 blocks.
Kansas starts four seniors
North Carolina's P.J. Hairston is averaging 19.8 points in his last five games.

Keys to Success:

It's the "Roy Bowl". Roy Williams coached at Kansas nine years ago and is now back at his alma mater at North Carolina. He's 0-2 against his old team. Kansas' guard play could be an issue. Freshman start Ben McLemore (16.2 points) is averaging just seven points in his last three games. Both teams want to run, especially North Carolina, who averages 76.2 points per game, while Kansas shoots 48 percent from the floor. Kansas allows teams to shoot just 30.2 percent from 3-point range and only 35.9 percent from the field. North Carolina has to keep Withey and the rest of the Jayhawks off the boards.

Last game: (3/25/12) Kansas (-2) over North Carolina, 80-67. North Carolina beat Villanova, 78-71, giving 5 on Friday. Kansas struggled to beat Western Kentucky, 64-57 on Friday, laying 20.5 on Friday. North Carolina is 7-22 ATS last 29 Sunday games.. Basketball Odds: Kansas is a 6-point betting odds favorite. Total: 141.5
