A very solid day Saturday. Nice rallies by Montreal and Philly. First CFL play of the year is a huge winner as Montreal wins 34-16 as a 7 pt (+260 ml) dog!
MLB:

I have watched as "public money" (not wiseguy $) has poured on Marlins and under for the last 12 hours. I will take a shot with TB to score some runs this afternoon. Look for Anaheim and TX to rise up and avoid the sweep. Both are system plays for me.
NASCAR:
1/2* Tony Stewart to Win +700
I watched the replay of last year's race earlier this week. Tony finished 2nd to Ricky Rudd, and was closing by .5 seconds per lap. They interviewed Tony, and he said "Our car sucked today. We didn't get it right until the last 20 laps. Next year we will be more prepared." Starting 10th gives us the value needed to make this play. Robbie and Jeff Gordon are the one's he will have to beat today. Both Gordon's are excellent road course drivers. But I will take my chances with the HOME DEPOT Chevy this afternoon.
College World Series:
1* Stanford Cardinal ml +125
I know Rice is starting "stud #2" today. Still, I will take my chances with Stanford today with the title on the line. Rice has never been here, and they will be nervous. Last night Harold Reynolds confirmed that Rice looked like crap during infield practice, and appeared nervous. They were, and their miscues led to 3 runs for Stanford in the 1st. Rice was able to rally for a 4-3 win b/c of a throwing error on a routine play in the 10th. Stanford got 9+ innings out of their starter Saturday. They have the more rested pitching staff and will do everything necessary to draw even in the best of 3 series. Stanford is clutch, they can hit, and I will ride along....

I like the Pinnacle "Field" 20 drivers +1600 for a few bucks. Fact is winner of this race has never started lower than 12th. It's all about track position, and all restarts are single file. Tough to come from rear and win!

I simply can't ignore the value here. Yes, I'm only risking $10, but it pays back $250. I know Kenseth has struggled on road courses before, but he is starting 4th, and he has the best pit crew in NASCAR. Track position is the key, and he should be in the top 5 most of the race. Worth a shot, don't you think?
