After watching Randy Johnson's dominating performance the other night I put him up there with Koufax and Carlton as one of the three most dominating lefthanders I've seen since I started following MLB in the early 6o's. RJ was still throwing 97 mph in the 9th inning !
Koufax
Carlton
Johnson
who do you guys think is the best LHP of the modern era ?
My vote goes to Carlton. 4 CY awards, and 325 career victories. His 1972 season may be the best ever by a pitcher. 27-10, 1.92 ERA for a phillies team that went 59-97 for the season.
