Schedule spot

The San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies will play two on Saturday, May 23. This double header between National League West rivals will be just the third double dip of the season and one of only eight scheduled for the 2015 campaign.

While baseball bettors will know the probable pitching matchups days in advance, you may want to see how much bullpen is burned through in Game 1 before betting on the side or total for Game 2 Saturday. Coors Field is always a tough place to play on regular rest, due to the thin air, but San Francisco could be playing on fumes by the time the second game starts at 9:10 p.m. ET.

Lookahead spot

If you’re not sick and tired of hearing about "Deflate Gate" by now, just wait until Week 6 of the NFL season when the whistle-blowing Indianapolis Colts – the team that reportedly snitched on the New England Patriots for using illegal balls – host the league’s most-hated team in a rematch of the AFC Championship.

But before the bad blood starts boiling over in Lucas Oil Stadium, Andrew Luck and crew visit the Houston Texans on Thursday night in Week 5. Sure, Houston isn’t winning any shootouts with the Colts anytime soon but this defense will be looking to set the tone for the AFC South. Indianapolis is caught in a tough lookahead spot with this game set as an early pick’em before the rematch with the Pats.

Letdown spot

Like cats and dogs, the Los Angeles Dodgers are back at it with the San Francisco Giants this week, playing a three-game set in the Bay Area starting Tuesday concluding with a massive showdown between the teams' respectivce aces on Thursday.

The Dodgers send Clayton Kershaw to the mound to counter Giants star Madison Bumgarner, in a game that goes off at 3:45 p.m. ET. Los Angeles doesn’t get much time to settle down from that heated rivalry, returning home to host the San Diego Padres Friday. Be cautious of L.A. and a possible letdown spot in Game 1 of that set.
